Matt Hand, Esq.

Matt Hand has made it his mission to provide comprehensive guidance to collegiate athletes in all facets of marketing their Name, Image, & Likeness. Through personalized attention and a commitment to excellence, Matt ensures that each player receives the support and guidance they need to succeed.  Matt’s knowledge of the NIL landscape is extensive, having earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management from The University of Texas at Austin, a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine School of Law with a certificate in Entertainment, Media & Sports, and publishing a paper on California’s Athlete-Agent legislation in Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review.

Matt’s prior experience includes work at multiple sports agencies as well as the compliance office of Pepperdine University’s Athletic Department.  With his extensive knowledge and experience, Matt is well-equipped to navigate the complex NIL landscape including brand outreach, social media guidance, contract negotiations, and other critical elements of athlete representation.

Director of Operations

Griffin Lowy brings a unique blend of legal expertise, business acumen, and hands-on experience in athlete representation to the NIL space. Griffin has been the Director of Operations at Alta since graduating from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Griffin also holds an MBA from Loyola University Chicago's Quinlan School of Business. 

 

Griffin graduated in 2017 from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with majors in Finance, Real Estate and International Business.

Griffin's legal knowledge, combined with a deep understanding of the evolving NIL landscape, allows him to navigate complex negotiations and secure optimal opportunities for athletes. Griffin is passionate about helping athletes maximize their brand potential, leveraging his skills in marketing, contract negotiation, and athlete engagement.

Alex Rothschild

Director of Partnerships & Talent

Alex Rothschild is a dynamic professional with a proven track record of negotiating impactful deals and building lasting relationships in the sports industry. As a Business Development Executive with the Chicago Cubs, Alex drove $5 million in revenue in 2024 by securing strategic deals with top global and regional brands, directly supporting player payroll operations. His expertise in prospecting, relationship management, and ROI-driven strategy makes him uniquely positioned to succeed in the rapidly evolving Name, Image, and Likeness space.  Alex leverages his extensive experience to negotiate and execute deals that amplify athletes’ brands while ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for sponsors. Alex excels at connecting athletes with brands in ways that foster growth, authenticity, and impact.  

Alex also dedicates time as a basketball coach, instilling discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills in young athletes. This role highlights his commitment to empowering athletes at every stage of their journey — both on and off the court.  Alex combines a results-driven mindset, industry expertise, and a passion for helping athletes and brands achieve their goals, making him a trusted partner in the NIL space and beyond.
